In darkness, sometimes love can be a bright light. For in the shadows reside a shade who will do anything to keep it out.

Keane has been running from his nightmares for a long time. Can he get free of the darkness that follows him, or will he forever be caught in the abyss?

This read started off strong and I was mesmerized by the story. Was it all real or was Keane’s mind playing tricks on him? Along came the cave scene and the story started losing its hold on me. My enthusiasm for this surreal read continued to wane until the anti-climatic ending.

It was great until it wasn’t.

I may have to try something else by this author.

A semi-solid read.

About Craig Saunders

Craig Saunders is the author of many novels and novellas, including Rain and The Estate, and the forthcoming DarkFuse titles Bloodeye and Flesh and Coin. He writes horror and fantasy for fun and humour when he’s feeling serious, which isn’t often.
He lives in Norfolk, England, with his wife and three children, likes nice people and good coffee.

I have an incurable book addiction and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I will buy a book based on its cover alone. I love promoting authors. I am... the Ultimate Reader.
