The Girl Who Couldn't Come Up With an Original Title" is a dark literary short story about life and death, and the short distance between.
Having the word "Girl" in a title, almost guarantees a bestseller these days. But for this Girl, finding a title to her story will force her to go between the Lines, into a realm of unimaginable possibilities.
The only real question is, will she make it back out alive?
** Includes the bonus short story "Reluctance" **
Incredible story–but I felt that the author’s afterward really added to the depth.
I was amazed at how much I enjoyed The Behrg’s first novel, HOUSEBROKEN. Since then, he has continued to impress me with his range of storytelling. This particular tale (actually, 3 short stories, with an inclusion from the author after the first), was quite different from the others I’ve read from him. “…flecks…”
This is not a tale that you will necessarily “love”, but rather a tale that will resonate within you and make you THINK. I don’t want to say much about the plot–which would give away the entire story–but suffice to say that most anyone who reads this will be able to either identify with, or empathize with, our main character. This is a highly emotional tale, disguised by simple comments and an almost deceptively, leisurely pacing. It is one that I see myself re-reading many times in the future.
