    Q&A with Brian Moreland

by Brian Moreland   HAD: Tell us a little about yourself. BRIAN: I grew up in Texas. A few years back I got a wild hair and moved to Hawaii, living on the island of Maui. Lived in paradise for a year and a half. Ironically, that’s where I wrote Dead of Winter. I’ve since moved back to Dallas, where I run a business that provides publishing services to writers. I also spent over 20 years as a video editor, editing commercials, corporate videos, and documentaries. I love watching movies, sports (especially football), eating at restaurants, and getting together with friends and family. I’ve traveled all over the world—Australia, New…

    {Author Interview} Garrett Cook

Garrett Cook was born in Wenham, Massachusetts July 19th, 1982. There are other details, but they’re depressing or banal, with the exception of his haunted birthplace, his struggle with bipolar and a brief, unfortunate cancer scare. Yawn. Garrett Cook’s work is far more interesting. He examines crises of faith and conscience through a pulpy, surreal or magorealistic lens to create magical, paranoid worlds that he hopes will entertain, antagonize and endear you. His books Murderland part 1:h8, Murderland 2:Life During Wartime and Archelon Ranch and Jimmy Plush, Teddy Bear Detective are available on Amazon. He is one of the creators and editors of the magazine Imperial Youth Review. Do you do…

Author Interview and Giveaway – Jason Parent!

Ravenous Reads welcomes Jason Parent! Author of “What Hides Within” Be sure to enter the giveaway for a copy of What Hides Within! Jason’s bio: Jason spends his days writing, but it’s mostly drafting legal memoranda as a civil litigator in New Bedford, MA–not exactly a venue conducive to creativity. But during his lunch breaks and after hours, you can often find him at one of the area’s charming coffee shops, huddled over an unadulterated iced coffee with a pen and paper in hand (somewhat old-school in his methods). Hopefully, when you see him, the pen’s moving, and he hasn’t dozed off.    What’s it like being a civil litigator?…

    Interview with J. Lincoln Fenn

    J. Lincoln Fenn began her horror career in the 7th grade when she entertained her friends at a sleepover by telling them the mysterious clanking noise (created by the baseboard heater) was in fact the ghost of a woman who had once lived in the farmhouse, forced to cannibalize her ten children during a particularly bad winter. Strangely, it was the last slumber party she was allowed to have. The author graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in English, and lives on an island (not deserted) with her family.   Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? I grew up in a very, very…
